New DLC cars, missions and activities have been promised for the next major GTA 5 Online update, which has a release date set for this week.
If you missed the announcement made by Rockstar Games, the grand opening for the Diamond Casino has been set for Tuesday, July 23.

On Thursday the Grand Theft Auto makers revealed that the GTA 5 Online Casino update release date would be Tuesday July 23. Announcing the GTA news, the Rockstar Games Twitter posted: “The Diamond Casino & Resort.
- GTA Casino Heist release date The GTA Casino Heist is now live, so you can hop in as soon as you’re able. Rockstar confirms the GTA Casino Heist release date is December 12, 2019, so we knew that.
It means the wait is almost over for Grand Theft Auto gamers who have been patiently counting down to the next expansion.
As mentioned by Rockstar earlier this week, GTA Online fans will soon be able to explore the Casino, enjoy the various table games and buy new accessories.
Succeeded by The Diamond Casino Heist The Diamond Casino & Resort is a content update for Grand Theft Auto Online, released on July 23rd, 2019.
And while the development team has yet to reveal it all, more DLC vehicles and cars are coming, while a new Casino currency is also expected to be introduced.
Data miners have already started teasing some of the new content, which will probably come in waves.
This will start with the big GTA 5 Online update in the coming days, followed by weekly drops over the rest of the Summer.
The first supercar to make its debut will be the Truffade Thrax, but more are being primed, according to GTA followers.

“If you’re looking to dive into the action, the casino floor has a selection of activities to enjoy,” a message from Rockstar teases.
“Play against the house using Chips in Three Card Poker, Blackjack and Roulette. Slot Machines with a variety of prizes are also at your fingertips, while Inside Track offers a lounge to watch and cheer along with friends as the drama of virtual horse racing unfolds.
“Spin the Lucky Wheel in the lobby for chips, cash, and clothing or even the new Truffade Thrax supercar that can be found whirling on the podium during opening week.
“And be sure to check back each week to see what new high-end vehicle can be won. Check Rockstar Support for details and limitations.”
As mentioned above, there is going to be plenty of new activities and missions to try out over the coming weeks, some of which will offer top prizes.
According to the GTA Online tracker account on Twitter, TezFunz2, you can win prizes from $200 up to $100,000 from slot machines.
These will be playable via a new currency being added to the game, with Funz2 adding: “Many have been wondering about the gambling laws, and how Rockstar is gonna deal with them.
“From this picture, you can see there’s a new currency which appears to be “casino chips”. You can earn up to GTA$50,000 or 15,000 RP or 25,000 casino chips.”
The picture mentioned above is from the new Casino DLC trailer, showing a prize wheel with many listed prizes.
And while there is going to be plenty of new stuff to do over the coming weeks in GTA Online, some gamers may have missed out on a big bonus.
Twitch Prime users have had until July 19 to link their Social Club account so that they claim some big Grand Theft Auto perks.
These included being able to purchase the Master Penthouse for free in the Diamond Casino & Resort, as well as receive GTA$1.25M and up to 15% extra GTA$ on purchases of Shark Cash Cards.

The bad news is that this deal has now ended and is no longer open to Twitch Prime users.
The good news is that this is an ongoing partnership, meaning more GTA 5 Casino rewards could be announced in the coming weeks.
